Auburn held there first scrimmage Saturday morning in the indoor facility. The scrimmage was planned to be held at Jordan Hare but due to rain they moved the scrimmage indoors. Auburn Defensive Tackle Gabe Wright is expected to miss the rest of spring training due to a foot injury. Coach Gene Chizik says that other players will have to step up and work harder to feel the void.
Monday the Tigers will be in full pads for the first time in spring Training. Auburn started spring training Friday and were in helmets and shorts on Saturday. Philip Lutzenkirch will miss spring practice after having shoulder surgery to repair a torn lanbram. Lutzenkirchen holds the school record for most touchdowns by a tightend.
